Is This Fish Tank / Aquarium Worth $110?

They both look like an awesome deal! I paid close to those prices that just for my 10 gallon tank, lid, and stand, on sale! If you like the setup I would go for it! Happy fish keeping!
yes that is a great deal! In a store you would normaly pay 200-300 dollars for that. 150 if on sale.
Eh. Its ok. May depend on where you live but around here (san francisco) you can find some pretty good deals. There is an 80 gallon bowfront setup for 100 bucks right now. If you just started looking today I would keep looking.
You can get a 55 gallon similar setup for that price.
Realistically the tank is glass and used, thus worth about $30. The stand is worth about that much as well, so not looking at $60 for tank and stand. The light and hood have some value, factor in about $20 for them, so you are at $80. There are a few extras, but those are usually thrown in to sweeten the deal. I personally would not pay over $90 for everything, and that is if I was in love with the tank. Realistically, $75 would be a very fair price. $110 isn’t unreasonable, but is high in my opinion (again, $110-$150 is a common price range for a 55 gallon with light/lid, filter, tank, and stand)
Never pay asking, either! Always offer a little lower. ;)
Edit: a CANOPY would be worth as much as the stand, not that little plastic lid. I agree $110 with a hood/canopy that matches the stand would be a good deal.
Plus you are in Texas, there are some great glass and tank manufacturers down there..shop around! You can often find new for not much more than that!

I am curious where some of these people live where these used tanks cost so much! I’ll sell you tanks all day long at those prices ;) Looks like Alec is on my side of the States…maybe it is a West Coast thing (Nevada Girl here)
I have shopped around on craigslist myself for tanks and worked at a petstore. so i would say thats an amazing deal. I agree with that guy that the tank itself is worth 30$. but he is wrong about the canopy and stand those are worth 50 each usually. also this tank come with everything and it comes with lights…which cost around 50$ as well you are getting a deal….I would bid a little under his asking price though. like 90$ or 100$. that second guy is asking to much. i would go with the 110$ one.
although it comes with fish you may not want them. if you dont most pet stores that carry fish will take them…so call around to pet stores and see who will take them.
also please please do your research on keeping fish before you get any..
research which fish you want and then research about what that fish needs and if its compatible with your other fish. also any time you add a full tanks worth of new water your tank will go through a nitrogen cycle for a whole month. please read about it here.

I would say yes all the money you would end up paying for every thing brand new would coast way more i would say at least 300 or more for every thing.
id say the first ones a pretty good deal because it comes with a stand. if you wanna spend a little less than 130, you should get this:

the bow front tank looks so awesome! look up some coupons on the internet too. i got a 20 gallon top fin kit for 60 dollars because it went from 95 to 75 then i used a 15 dollar coupon. the heater it came with alone was 30 dollars! i dunno what brand heater and stuff they have for the aqueon kit, but it looks awesome.
